What is it? Gardens and Gifts is a self-guided tour featuring 4 country gardens and 2 nurseries in the Pontiac, West Quebec villages of Luskville, Quyon, Pontiac Station (near Bristol), and Bryson. Nurseries are in Quyon and Shawville. What is the “gift” component? All the gardeners have invited local artists, authors, craftspeople, and producers to showcase and sell their work.

When? Sunday, July 12, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Cost? Tickets are $10 and include a map plus garden and nursery descriptions. These are available at all garden locations as well as shops and depanneurs along Highway 148 and Shawville.

Why? For the love of gardening and fostering of the arts in our community. This project is also a fundraiser for two heritage United Churches located in the hamlets of Quyon and Beechgrove. 20% of proceeds of ticket sales will go to assist in the purchase of a dialysis machine at the Pontiac Community Hospital.

Where? West Quebec villages of Luskville, Quyon, Pontiac Station (Bristol area), Shawville, and Bryson. Click the map below to load a printable map. The gardens links in the sidebar describes what you will find at each garden.
